Been a fantastic day on the east coast, reached 27c, with a nice gentle breeze, still in a t-shirt in the garden at nearly 9pm although the nights are drawing in now,

After a warm and settled couple of days here in Wakefield, and uncomfortable nights for sleeping, it's all of a sudden got very breezy here at 1.45pm. Weather starting to turn as expected.

Easing off a bit now, was torrential for about 20 mins,

Well storms to the East of us, storms to the West of us but nothing for us here in the Upper Calder Valley!

Had a few loud rumbles about 6.30 lasted about 20 mins, no rain though, looking at the radar there is a bit more heading this way!

Quite a storm to our east, over the sea, at about 7pm. A few visible flashes, and a lot of rumbles, closest was about 4 miles. Now steady rain here, and very muggy.

Looks like were in for little bit of action shortly judging by the radar, we've already had one brief power cut, looks to growing as it passed over Pocklington,

Most of it has missed us today, a heavy shower at about 5 and some very distant rumbles now from a storm to the south of Brid. Another really muggy day, its not the heat its the humidity, and no breeze. Really quite unpleasant this afternoon, cant wait for some fresher weather.

Beefy shower passing through Sheffield now. Roads turning to rivers as the core passes directly over here.

Totally agree was muggy and unpleasant this aft at work, had a good downpour after tea when i got home but hasn't shifted that muggy feeling,
