Have been kept awake most of the night with a headache and, for the past 3 hours, pounding rain on the conservatory roof. Checked radar to see what had become of the cold frosty night and it seems I have been under the slowest moving shower in history. Turned to sleet then snow in the final half hour but would have given a right dumping if I was higher up I reckon! I'm currently in a nice gap so it's a glorious sunny day, however there are signs that we might be in the convergence zone here again, will have to keep an eye on the washing! 20210410_114158.thumb.jpg.242996a44b70139e7093272e9dccc35c.jpg

Still bone dry here somehow, but only like a matter of time looking at the radar. The dewpoint has sunk rapidly below freezing to -0.4C aswell, so looking positive for something wintry.

What strange weather! The showers are developing but not really moving anywhere....We can see snow about 15miles away on the moors, but it's been sunny here until the last 30mins or so

Snow pellets and the odd proper snow flake today. Now turned dry but as it's already been said these showers are moving very slowly. Temps now 2.9C

Snow on the moors as well this evening. So it looks like they got a heavier shower than us this afternoon.

After the wet snow at 4am, we avoided all the showers by a matter of a few miles during daylight hours. However, it's now snowing again, although the heaviest echos look to be just south, maybe Castleford area?

Woke up to 5cm+ of snow here this morning. Was heavy when we went to bed but didn't seem to be making any depth then, so its a surprise to wake up to this amount.

My view this morning. This was a stunning winter for North Yorkshire. To be more specific it was a proper winter.
