I think with this easterly the wind streams haven't been straight off the North sea with the kinks pointing more north east inland causing showers to die off.

06z would be a different story with the flow being streamline and would be so much better.

Also risk of this happening sooner with the flatliners on this graph 2m temps.

I will let you know

I expect a BBC outside broadcast style update. On a motorway overpass perhaps or next to a busy road.

Had a flurry a bit ago might be another one incoming, but all in all this spell has been a disappointment IMBY and the final insult is no snowy breakdown before the mild arrives

Even my rabbits seem unimpressed with this (probably final) flurry if snow

On a sidenote Myxomatosis is terrible here at the moment. Dead rabbits of half dead/blind rabbits everywhere. Perhaps something to beaware of?

Yeah they're both vaccinated against that and RHD/RHD2 so should be fine. They're only out because I'm cleaning their winter home (the conservatory!) In more weather related news, still flurrying but small flakes now.

You can tell we're in the coldest uppers again (-12C 850hPa) after that weak band passed through as the temperature has dropped to 0.3C with a dewpoint of -6.0C.

Wow what a nice surprise! Heavy snow and very windy.

Getting lighter gradually. I think this was the last one of this cold spell unless the band north of Norwich makes it here later.
