Is it me or is that shower over Hull intensifying and gaining a bit more girth?!  Looks like it might hit areas slightly North of the current streamer?  Barnsley for example?!

Its the hope that kills ya!

Moderate snow now, should add a 1/4 of an inch.

Just typed out my post and then saw yours.  That is good news if thunder is being reported.  Convection is on the increase!

Haha, don't be silly, we're not that lucky . It'll either weaken before it gets here, or it'll head straight for Rotherham and Sheffield like all the rest

Hahaha follow that shiwer that hit us heavy last time look where it came from. The showers are waving so some hit rotherham then next further south and so on but i think your 10 miles too north for it all. Its just bad luck its horrible!

You might be right.  Unlike last night though the North Sea is looking very lively tonight and showers appear to be intensifying in some inland areas as well so I am more confident of a bit of snowy action tonight than last night!

I am actually a few miles South of Barnsley and that last band skirted just to my South and left an icing sugar coating here so I am still hoping against hope I get something here!

More development to the north of the streamer in the North sea! Tonight seems to be the one with the proper showers!!!

odd since the showers are due to be winding down through tonight and tomorrow. Perhaps we are in for a few surprises.

Yeah I'd agree with that. Definitely more hopeful than last night. It's just frustrating looking at the radar and never see anything heading towards us. But I'm going to remain hopeful, we gotta get lucky eventually

Can't believe how much the radar has exploded tonight! It's all across the UK as well. Didn't expect this. Just shows what can happen....

Really wish we could see a trough or feature come in before the end on Sunday

Look at the heights in the north sea.

Yesterday it was all light blue

Lower heights = Larger Cloud tops = Red

Look at the kinks near Yorkshire = Yellow

This is extra instability maintaining the showers
