Seems like the story of this cold spell haha. 5 miles too north here.

Just skirted me haha, must have missed by less than a mile to my North! Grrr!

Let's see what the rest of the streamer brings...

Just not felt right this cold spell for me right from before the off.

I felt really confident at start. Scary thought though that -10 uppers haven't been cold enough Either for the convection or the fully settling snow through the day..

I read that cloud tops weren't especially high, so we lacked the really deep convection of more productive easterlies of yesteryear.

Must be passing through you before it gets to us, blizzard like must have dropped 1cm maybe more in 10 minutes. Some heavy stuff near hull developing too. Just goes to show how things can crop up at short notice in this type of set up and if you find yourself under a streamer it’s quids in time. Brilliant radar watching.

I'm surprised there not higher. Either just -2 uppers not cold enough, not a far enough fetch across the North Sea or all showers are just sucking the energy out of each other ( too many chefs) ??

Some lovely convection going off looking at the clouds.

I don't know about anyone else but I got major model/ snow fatigue, have barely slept in days .

In its own right tonight is radar watching at its finest! No marginality and the chance of heavy snow showers

Just getting the Northern edge, think Stockport will do well. Might see it on telly soon.
