So happy your getting the snow now! You certainly deserve it the most!

All because the wind switched more easterly today! Enjoy

Its a subtle change but has made a massive difference here. The lighter winds have certainly helped the showers move through slower and allow decent accumulations even in the day too.

Looks like there's a few more coming aswell.

First proper snow shower from the kitten from the east. I think I promote it Lion Cub from the east now.

Nice to walk bloody ice though lethal underfoot. Whether we'll manage another snow showers this evening is another question.

This one brewed up over land not over the sea looking at the radar.

Just had the heaviest snow we've had in south Sheffield since the easterly started. Covered the thawed paths very quickly

Just looking at the NetW 'precipitype' Radar of the next shower inbound and , once clear of the M1 & before Leeds, it began to intensify?

It has kept on for a couple of frames as it passed Leeds and over Bradford....

Brief snow shower and instantly covered previous tracks that were made, depending on the frequency we could be in for a good night on top of what we had already, amazing the difference after sunset makes in terms of helping snow settle an hour ago it wasn’t settling over previous tracks now it’s instantly covered.

Of all the showers this one has been the best one since Sunday. You got to laugh

Defo more intensity in showers forming off the coast of the Humber could bode well for East Yorkshire and hull rapid developments on some and seems a lot colder. Had a great day on the dales near wetwang. Was minus 3 up there around 1 pm and some huge snow drifts.

Looking at radar I think we're done in South Yorks for a while now.

Some more to the south east of Hull which if they survive this far may gives some more joy later on.

Well the Calder Valley shower has turned the paths/roads white again!

We too appear to have more potential upwind but I suppose this forecast change in wind direction might skewer that if it's earlier rather than later tonight?

It will be interesting to see if any new shower also show an 'Orographic Tweak' just before they arrive?

Am I going to be sad and watch the showers on the radar or doing something else. Temperatures now dropping like a stone. I walked round graves park and a lot of the soil wasn't frozen so the choice was ice on the footpath or muddy boots in parts. Being a coward I went for muddy boots.

More snow at Bempton today, I've put some pictures in the members galleries. Temperature got just above freezing at lunchtime, but no real thaw, and topped up with more showers.  Showers not a long lasting as yesterday, but still heavy while they lasted.

Think that one just went over here. Huge 50p size flakes and covered over what bit of melt we had in the sun. All in all a great day. Pleased to hear some others have had snow today.

Pocklington does seem to have been a sweet spot both last night and this afternoon. Your showers passing just south of here
