Our last shower here hit at 4:45ppm At 3:30 it was a diddy thing completely inside the York Ring road

Before it hit Leeds it had grown and really put on a spurt by Bradford giving us a good layer

By the time it was through there was a bigger blob over the ring road headed our way

I make it's eta 5:45pm!!!

I wonder if this one flares some reds on the meto radar when it reaches Bradford?

Behind that it looks like near constant precipitation?

I've seen that streamer, it'll either hit us directly or stay behind the hill towards Cragg/Mytholmroyd.

Some proper stuff on the moors above Cragg, amazing drifting....wrap up if you're gonna walk in it. It's grand.

Just had a shower, and given a dusting.  Does this count as a drift?  Asking for a friend!

Strange old day under light streamer at the moment which strangely is settling. Went out earlier but shortened the walk as the melted snow was turning into a sheet ice so very iffy under foot.

So morning kicked off with a little covering of dry snow no ice the sort of thing you'd expect with an easterly. Light to moderate snow showers in the morning however by ten a thaw was in progress which was strange as the temperatures were below freezing still. I went out and chucked some rubbish in the bin and the snow base was no slush I kid you not. The showers just kept behind the slow thaw so more and more of the snow disappeared. Afternoon was dry with sunny spells and the hopes of an ice day were dashed as temps sneaked above zero.

The late afternoon walk welcomed me sheets of ice and small patches of snow on the pavement. At least the verges were snow covered so you could avoid the worst bits mostly. As the sun went down light snow showers returned and and despite temperatures similar to this mornings when the snow just melted on contact it has now started settling again. So I may have another cm to measure tomorrow morning.

I see the unneeded amber warning has gone so probably get a dumping now.

The last ones main pulse kept over Cragg.....I even wondered if it'd pop a flash & rumble it looked so dark?

The stuff coming in over Scarborough/Brid looks pretty angry? That'll be here in 2 and a bot Hours I reckon?

This last shower settled all over the road now the temperature is below 0C. Could be a good night.

Definitely!

First image 15.00, second image 16..45.

Also, note the adjustment south of the streamer out Norway and the greater energy in the Baltic streamer.

Is that in the middle of the north sea(two bands) making their way here?
