Fairly sure the 2 streams are coming together further east of the radar, but it can be seen on the satellite.  Those of us in the South Yorkshire/Barnsley gap may benefit from this later, assuming it maintains once it get anywhere near us!

Probably gibberish but looking further out off the East coast the precipitation does look to be intensifying and combining into more organised bands/streamers.whether they will come across to affect us is a different matter

Finally stopped but was coming down since 2ish. Accuweather app shows the streamer breaking up a bit now and dropping south. Not sure I’m right of course

Meanwhile here its been dry almost all afternoon as we're in the gap with Beverley to the North of that band. The 8 year wait for more than 1cm continues for now.

These streamers are savage its literally just stopped after at least 2 hours on and off.

Glad someone around here has seen something. My hope is that the 'gap' closes or the bands move or merge. As it stands I cant believe its happened again for a 3rd consecutive easterly. What ever happened to a decent northerly? They seem to be extinct!

Definitely!

First image 15.00, second image 16..45.

Also, note the adjustment south of the streamer out Norway and the greater energy in the Baltic streamer.

These bands are savage mate. If you look at the radar from Withernsea across looks nuts. I'm now skirting the outer edge.

Our last shower here hit at 4:45ppm At 3:30 it was a diddy thing completely inside the York Ring road

Before it hit Leeds it had grown and really put on a spurt by Bradford giving us a good layer

By the time it was through there was a bigger blob over the ring road headed our way

I make it's eta 5:45pm!!!

I wonder if this one flares some reds on the meto radar when it reaches Bradford?

Behind that it looks like near constant precipitation?

Worry for me though is that these are not making landfall. That gap in the sea has remained all the time. They look to be dieing off a few hundred miles out into the sea.

Hopefully this evening brings us something substantial!

Just had a shower, and given a dusting.  Does this count as a drift?  Asking for a friend!
