Annoyingly there is a chain of wide, large showers looking to head across North Leeds into Bradford.

Not sure on your question, whilst they make look scattered they do look like they are intensifying to me

And heavy snow symbols this evening and overnight! Think the interest is more so later than now and this is the starter. Maybe a delay or just an upgrade

Bbc weather earlier said more showers into west going into the evening

Craigers are you thinking same with that streamer of the coast for later this evening?

@LeeSnowFan Simiar to what's happening now but bigger bands and low temps ofcourse. Im just thinking when temps drop then the showers might pick up and clump together upto 12am

Moderate shower here but only really settling on cars and grass, not on paths or roads.

Snowing here again, nothing to get excited about though. Wont hold my breath on it settling anywhere really either.

During the last easterly, 28th Feb 2018, I recorded a temp of -4.8c at 13:00 and we had 10cm+ of snow with drifts up to 40cm

Current temp today is 3.0c, pretty big difference!

Yes my attention is turning to later on now as the ground cools and night-time begins. Any showers this afternoon can bolster what we've got on cars, grass etc but the roads are remaining clear.

Intensive snow shower here in north east Sheffield atm. But really need it to stall a bit for it to properly stick.

Its pants!

We had better snow from the last few marginal events. This is a proper disappointment.

If you look at the radar there is an area of the coast of the Humber that’s getting wider and filling in.  Seams to have the south of our regions name on it.  Going to start to get interesting soon.  Only my gut feeling though just looking at the radar.  Should help too with the light fading later

I suspect the wind is the problem since there's no pre-existing cover to cool it.

If a streamer forms for long enough though, it will push the temperature down.

Only a top temp of 0.7C here but the side of the garden that gets sun is now completely bare! Took no time at all to thaw.

This is probably going to be remembered as one of the biggest disappointments in recent history.

Looks very promising for a few continous showers..

Well, now I've shared it they will probably vanish in to thin air

The sun is always strong in Feb, I recall the same complaints in Feb 05 and 09 notably.

I'll reserve judgement until tomorrow morning personally. If we get cover overnight over a fairly wide area it will probably mean lower Maxima tomorrow and less issues.
