I just don’t believe it!! Haha

I'm at the far east of the orange zone, I think it is going to be justified, reports of lorries getting stuck on Willingham hill, we are now getting waves of heavy dry snow  which is drifting, the road was gritted twice last night but no tarmac to be seen. the land is not a white out yet as the wind is drifting most of the snow. BITTER in the wind when going to my wood pile.

buzz word today Streamer

i can’t see one over our area just intermittent showers, surely a streamer is continuous snowfall in a straight line over an area??

sorry not seeing it at present??

Although the radar is showing gaps in showers near Rorherham its not stopped snowing for half hour as convction is filling in gaps between the showers. A sure sign of convergence and showers merging that is too quick to be picked up by the radar.

Absolute dream start here in Rotherham bang in the sweet spot!

Yay, a heavy snow shower as I type, that will make a covering.

Looks like both of us will be at this rate! Massive echos for North of the amber warning!

Fairly surprised that central barnsley doesn't even have a slight covering at the minute. Occasional dandruff being blown around is about our lot. Hopefully that changes!

The echos near Driffield have got Barnsley/Sheffield North name written all over it. Let’s hope it keeps its intensity.

EDIT Doncaster and @Scott Ingham rotherham, might have to dig them lot out. ❄️?

It’s fizzling out here. Quite meh so far. They must know something. Let’s hope they’re right this time.

There are police reports of trouble on the horncastle to Louth road, A15 between Lincoln and sleaford and many of the routes to the north of Boston inc partney. All this and it’s the start of a increasingly worsening day according to weather reports.

Problem you have is the wind changes as more north easterly as they approach doncaster so they head for Barnsley then get pushed south at the last minute you need more of a straight easterly. A nne is perfect for southern portions of south yorkshire n you will at this rate lol getting pummeled here!!

Haha mate you are only 1mile down road and no amber for here. But its upgraded despite the slow start if that forecast is right. The streamer seems to be hitting barnsley now and back building l

Just either side of the warning zone!
