Well, scunny just falls in the Amber zone but I'm only expecting more disappointment

Woke up with full expectations and honestly I'm gutted ...

Better than a dusting

But grass still visible...

If this is correct then they have missed an Amber for west/ low North Yorkshire and into Lancashire.

What more worrying for East Yorkshire the radar showing some rain for here during parts of day cant be right surely? Just need some big flakes and for it to last longer then 10 or 15 mins get an decent covering.

A dusting here this morning.  Light snow falling and the radar looks a bit meh but the automated forecast for here shows heavy snow all day!

I am just inside the amber warning area here so we will see.  Hope things pick up later as Scott and others have said

Haha mate you are only 1mile down road and no amber for here. But its upgraded despite the slow start if that forecast is right. The streamer seems to be hitting barnsley now and back building l

Flamborough way seems to be getting interesting on radar for these parts of county. Radar does looks like trying to turn into orgamised snow.

Thats me this morning! my daughter wont be happy, she only gets a delayed start, school opening at 10am haha

I've had to do the morning run too. I can see Barnsley being in this streamer now if you look at the radar! Watch the schools shut in next 2 hours

Still patience needed I think.

It's only 8am and these streamers or showers are here for another 24hr at least. Plenty of time for us all to get more snow

Luckily for me my daughter is 15 so takes herself to school so no morning run here as younger 2 are learning from home.

I hope your right because my 6 year old is going to kill me if she doesn't wake up to a winter wonderland haha.

Morning, one thing to note, the wind has finally calmed down a bit. Woke up to a dusting keeps snowing on and off albeit mostly the small pellet type. It’s getting lighter so I suspect we are in a gap. Looking towards this afternoon, could a warning be issued further North of the Humber as per the GEM? Thoughts anyone

Slightly frustrating morning of Radar watching, see the snow showers piling in from the North East only for them to slip South of my location or completely evaporate about 5 miles away only to reinvigorate to the WSW when it’s passed through!  Even the skies don’t exactly look full of Eastern promise!  So still just a dusting here with the Barnsley snow shield apparently in full operation!

Yay, a heavy snow shower as I type, that will make a covering.
