To me the convergence is alot further north than modelled. Its now fusing with the precipitation that was already there around the Scarborough area...

As me and Kasim have beem discussing not necessarily.

The larger showers are south of south yorkshire thats where the increased instablilty is and where convergence is.

The stuff further north is just general comvection not part of the streamer

On second thoughts...

Showers are increasing in size further north as well..

Might stay up till 1am if this carries on. I'm in the path now and you are too mate. Looks like 00z charts were correct

I’d be extremely surprised if the majority of our region doesn’t have 5cm as a whole come dinner tomorrow more obviously in favoured spots but my thinking is a lot of surprises are looming. ❄️❄️

Heavy snow should be hitting your area till 5am then dieing down till 10am then picks up again dinner time onwards.

2am shows showers pep right up along the convergence where we are

Watching the streamer.... is it me or is it getting wider? Its coming over north Notts and north lincs but looks to be getting wider over the coast? This will help those abit further north get in on the act as well.
