Theres been a subtle shift south of the streamers all day.

The euro 4 now showing the overnight/morning streamer a long way south.

It does show showers further north into south yorkshire in the afternoon however.

Id be more worried in north yorkshire right now.

Tueaday and wednesday looking increasingly a bust for the region.

Could just be tomorrow for snow but still time for features to pop up

Hope not, that will be terrible for North Lincs would it not... (and many other areas in the region)

The run doesnt show no snow for you or for me or for those in Leeds but long periods of showers in a streamer looks less likely.

Still enough for 10cm widely in my eyes and its radar watching because them charts can be miles out even this close.

Its a now cast but id hazard a guess monday ans maybe half if tuesday then that would be it fir snow although staying cold all week

Well get snow tonight id imagine but the morning looks to push further south before coming north after 2pm again.

Were still looking like a fun event just not 24hours or snow showers.

Its still a nowcast event the run isnt certain.

Much better North Sea convection kicking off now.  Should be good for some heavier showers through the early hours South Yorkshire especially

Looks like the wind is changing direction to an ever so slightly more Easterly to my untrained eye?

Just to add the radar has the streamer 30 miles north of euro4 so this run could be incorrect and its coming in more like its 0z run

Exactly mate I was going to sleep then seen this development. Amazing news for Northern parts of South Yorkshire

Just noticed that mate.  Looks like those brighter echoes are about to hit Donny and then Barnsley next.

Looks like they will be hitting West Yorkshire not long after that too?

If it keeps moving north yeah. Great news as this was supposed to be staying south

We have a dusting now on the North Notts / S Yorks border..... looking at the streamer it looks to be coming directly over this area.

Thoughts Scott?

For me you have the best location on the regional thread it can change but looks like the streamer at 8am goes through you.

Id still radar watch however as it is further north tonight.

For me North Yorkshire is in trouble however fir significant accumalations

Certainly a shift south on the 18z EURO4, thankfully the current radar looks to have everything a little further back north

Plenty of time left yet, we're only just getting started!

To me the convergence is alot further north than modelled. Its now fusing with the precipitation that was already there around the Scarborough area...

Its almost touching York!

And this is why I love radar watching and now casting. If it stays this far north then the GEM has won again!
