@Craigers unfortunately that stuff on the radar looks to far south already to affect Sheffield/Barnsley surely? The gap between Hedon and Hornsea is what I’m watching with the wind direction or is it due to turn more easterly?

Energy transferring northwards so should effect us by 11pm

can anyone explain why the radar is showing pink over us but not a single thing is falling from the sky

Very dry air causing it to evaporate/disappear before getting anywhere near ground.

These wont show till 12am and deliver between 1am and 2am mate.

Conditions arent right for enhanced shower activity yet height are too high.

Theres a small cap on the atmosohere hence the rash of shallow light showers.

850s are allowing convection to start but the heights arent allowing for big towers just yet all due to change after midnight and get better as we go through monday

v good explanation Scott , thanks

Its due to keep filling and building further north then all converge near the wash 11pm to 12am.

Instability is growing by the hour. Expect similar showers shown over Scotland to build here after midnight. Heavy snow is shown from 2am

Everyone needs to be patient.

Nothing was forecast before as the Low thats with the South East is leaving us in a dry spot for now but its slowly clearing
