The air is still quite dry here, temp and DP are miles apart...

Yep, agreed and the fact it’s against all the models we can see is a bit odd.

Exeter can either see something different on their models or the guy who put it together didn’t have his specs on and mistook the Wash for the Humber!

Haha yeah.  They probably haven't the foggiest to be honest.

I'm suprised though it's changed so far south, I thought maybe a little tweak here and there..

Bizarre its been in roughly the same place for a few days and then gets shunted 100 miles south 24 hours before

Here is a comparison of the snow culm for Euro4 0z, 6z and 12z.  They aren’t a direct comparison as they are always for T+54.  Slight variations in position, width of deepest snow and depths, but all look good!

The trend is to take things south. We dont want many more corrections

The models seem to be firming up on a streamer south of Sheffield, the flow is at a slight NE'ly which is why places that got lucky in 2010 might miss out this time.

Potential for a bit of a shadow between Leeds and Sheffield where accumulations may not be as significant. This doesn't mean this area won't see lying snow just maybe in the lower bracket.

It does look that way.  If it turns out as per the fax a lot of Yorks could end up in a bit of dry zone compared to further south!

FAX chart for 12z tomorrow doesn't actually have a CZ in place, seems to develop later. It's an easy thing to get hung up on as it'll be the source of enhanced shower activity, but perhaps it isn't so important for the pep up later tonight and into tomorrow morning?

Be ironic if after these very marginal events delivered, we end up getting bugger all from a proper cold easterly.

Hmmm, that’s a lot further south!  That isn’t great for the more northern parts of South Yorkshire, West and North Yorks.  No guarantee they’ve got it correct but slightly concerning, and definitely against the models. Not too much longer to wait to see which is right though!

There will still be bands of less organised precipitation id imagine either side of the convergence zones. Dont forget these are only 1 hour snap shots

Think Dronny is in a cracking position being at the far south of our region.

Country file looked fine for north lincs

And the final few words at the end

Cold weather fighting back next week.

Could this be just the tip of the iceberg ?

2010 wasn't even forecasted until it was showing on radar so I wouldn't take it all seriously yet. Majority of models took it north a tad. Middleground maybe?

I am hoping for a mass of showers across the region, really angry looking ones , like 2018, but I am a bit worried we may miss anything heavy here. Euro 4 does look good though.

Currently a dusting from a shower this evening , light snow most of the day but didn't amount to much other than a bit on high level surfaces
