No.....further south please

It's a tug of war between us to the north and you guys to the south

Hopefully the area is not narrow like 2010 and is fat and covers must of yorkshire and lincolnshire!

Wishful thinking though as there is unfortunately going to be winners and losers over the coming days.

morning all, here is to a great day of hoping and radar watching, both bbc and met have delayed any snow for here until late tonight, so for us here tomorrow looks our best chance of the week,  stay safe everyone.

Can't decide whether the showers are fizzling out as they come inland or not!

By 12pm Tuesday it’s shown to be sitting over the Wash so you never know...

I think the wind direction and strength should change time to time, this will affect the distribution of showers.

I think these streamers will wiggle about hopefully giving us all a turn, but yes some places will hit the jackpot and get epicentre of these.

Yes it seems to mainly be ENE but will occasionally switch NE and by Thursday I think we get more of an ESE. Hopefully in that time the coverage will widen so more join the party.

Heavy graupel here now and starting to lay. Its the first time we've seen anything on the ground this winter.

Temp is 1.4c with a dewpoint of -1.8c.

Great start and its only going to keep going all day. Was supposed to be dry.

Anyone from Whitby NYM areas reporting snow? Looks more intense up there.

Yes. For me I'm hoping ENE but for you guys in south yorkshire ESE is probably your best easterly.

Good Morning all

seems today I’m stuck in the wash corridor. Nothing from sleaford to Cambridge in a quite wide gap between the heavy snow to my south and the showers mostly over the wolds to my north, however the showers do seem to be creeping south with the radar picking up activity in the conigsby/ horncastle area.

Despite the radar showing the same intensity, we now have bigger flakes and more of them here. Not enough to actually accumulate, they seem to just be swirling around. But the radar looks good for some heavier echoes to head inland. Its looking good for the short term for most of the region

Edit: looks heavy to my west, disappeared into the mist! Crossgates/Seacroft direction

Latest gfs shows convergence zone nicely on monday. Looks agonisingly out of leeds reach looking at that, good bit further south.

If it helps mate that zone has still shifted north very slightly! Could still happen and reach you mate

Same here, intensity picked up rather suddenly.

I hope so, I wouldn't want a repeat of 2010 and have to join PIT wandering the train tracks, waiting for that bright light to approach
