Rather a shame this isn’t happening tomorrow instead but oh well. Hope what falls tonight doesn’t thaw too much.

Really coming down now, cars and grass starting to cover over.

Intensity seems to increase as the showers reach the m1 near Wakefield.

Snow turned lighter at the moment as a bend in the streamer takes it south of me but it seems to curve back northwards near Beverley so will be watching that closely! Amazing how quickly it settled after 35mm of rain today! Big flakes just before it eased down and the view from my bedroom. Approx 2-3cm I would say depending on surface. 20210206_211459.thumb.jpg.6d1e17408169ea694b1cc3732f44b58d.jpg

Snow now big flakes too

No yellow warning for rain required though. What were they thinking?

Looks like a beefy shower heading towards Sheffield.

Relentless rain in Wakefield for about 20 hours now. A few flooding issues locally too.

Now snowing in Wakefield after 20 hours of rain. Cornflake snowflakes!

Don't think they were thinking full stop. An amber warning for dandruff down south, and nothing for an event that leads to multiple roads across Leeds flooded

I think it's shocking that a professional organisation can have such an oversight up here when the conditions in the SE are of interest  I really think that if there was no warning for the SE currently then they would have issued a rain warning for you guys. It's not exactly been subtle today has it?

Steady snow here now, could do with some of those bigger flakes.
