2 - 4pm monday. This is the period of heavy settling impactful snow.

Look at how these showers are becoming organised by that time!!

Just in time for me coming out of work then, should be an interesting drive from Ecclesfield over hill at Kimmy to here in East Dene.

Looks like met office agrees with ya Scott. A tasty looking convergence zone for south yorkshire tomorrow from the looks of it

Heavy snow now and settling - the temp has dropped to 0.8°C and the DP is 0.5°C. It has dropped like a stone while I was having my tea. I'll check on exactly how much the drop was and the timing in a few but very rapid.

I’m that excited for snow I’ll be firing off some fireworks I have stashed away I feel that deprived lol.

hoping to see some flakes later on or tomorrow at least it’s been a long time coming..

My kids are sick of hearing my snow stories from ten or so years ago

You like your fireworks?

Still got all mine left from bonfire night.

Including this from vivid

Between 18:00 and now it dropped from 3.2°C and 0.7°C, that's 2.5°. Pretty nifty!

Yeah your area looks slap bang in heart of that.

That yard stick they have put down (convergance zone) I would have thought the showers will still be piling in just north and south of it two, so I wouldn't be too hung up on the exact placement of it.

Moderate snow here, sticking fast!

So it is.

All I can hear is dripping outside the window and assumed it was still raining. Opens curtain and it is snowing...and settling on the grass and cars

Back to driving rain here now.

Sleet here again and the white road has gone. More heavy stuff on the way though which should cause some snow through evaporative cooling and, hopefully, this time it will hold as the night progresses and the colder uppers come in.

I can confirm the infamous East York’s snow shield was broken here for 10mins in heavier burst

At sea level

Bodes well for those in the West of our region

Temp now 1.6°C and rising. Ha, you couldn't make it up, says he as the rain falls. Next heavy (snowy?) burst should be here in an hour or so. Gonna watch some telly in the meantime....
