Just been to sort my dads care needs and it's a complete whiteout at hoylandswaine. Very heavy snow.

Wouldnt be surprised to see all routes into Lancashire cut off there. Has the M62 over the tops ever been closed?

Heavier gritting and traffic regime makes it more resilient to snow but under the right conditions it can & will shut again

Snow on the lowest ground of Sheffield in Attercliffe (Meadowhall area) right now  - if very wet but snow nonetheless! If it can here it can in many other places. I do live at 150m so looking forward to driving home!
