My hubby’s on nights tonight and this is all I’ve been going on to him about all week he keeps asking me when it’s going to snow and I’m like ‘won’t be long!

Hahaha! Keeps us entertained doesn't it!

I'm sure Grimsby and the East coast will do good with showers over the coming days. Im hopeful your snow drought may be about to end. The air is so cold it should allow snow to fall right on the coast this time ❄️

Endless rain here today. Went to Otley earlier and the road down the hill was like a river.

Just looked outside hoping to see a bit of sleet mixed in but all rain so far.

Height!!?

Well, over 200m was a white out around 1pm and though the road conditions had eased on the return (5pm) it was still snowing above 200m (ish)

Sorry guys.

My mums still in a really bad way.

I just wanted to post to quickly say tonight in my opinin is being underestimated.

The trend today has been to keep the front as all snow in Yorkshire.

Euro4 12z.

Run this model through look at the parameters look at when milder air runs through.

Its AFTER precipitation has left us at 9am.

I feel 5cm - 8cm fairly widely due to the strength of the band and 3+ hours of evaporative cooling.

Im going against the mets conservative amounts as was the case a few weeks ago

Ill be lingering but not posting or taking charts in much detail as this would be wrong but my own opinion is the ecm12z is bang on the money for the weekend.

If anyone saw the last ec46. The coldest period was mid month after.

Notice first signs of a scandi high building 240+ hours.

I expect this to build due to diving low pressure from a greater atlantic influence in week 2 as spotted by blue army with then another retrogression to greenland due to solid mjo phase 7/8 impacts only then flitering through and a boost off +AAM from am excellent wind pattern near the equator.

For me minimum of 10-14 days impactive cold from saturday this week omwards which for my own forecast first week of december is amazing to see come to fruition!

Take care all and enjoy some snow tomorrow morning hopefully!!

Not entirely comfortable blowing my own trumpet but im proud of this as it shows ny thoughts have had some validity but what is showing now i spoke about monday when nothinh was in site.

I believe round 2 is well and truly on the table

Heavy snow now over the moors now, looking at radar precip piles in but doesn't really advance it just grinds to a halt against the higher ground.
Starting to get white and gauge has stopped counting melt. though it says +0.4C
