sorry but that is not what the Met O forecast shows for Spalding

default_card_315.jpg
WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK

Spalding 7 day weather forecast including weather warnings, temperature, rain, wind, visibility, humidity and UV

Strange, when I click on that link that’s exactly what it shows or I have I missed something?

I suspect you are mis reading the post. It was in answer to someone who did misquote the forecast, using the app rather than the text. I was posting the link to show what the text gave.

Wrf > rain to snow event above 250m producing 2-5cm from ~4pm tomorrow. Heavy precip - local dustings below this elevation in W. Yorks, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire.

Improved cold air undercut in N Yorks so the above to 100m

Light snow from residual instability on Sat evening producing 1-3cm to 0-50m elevation

Potential drier slot early Sunday

Light to moderate persistent snow with embedded streamers commences early Monday. 5-12cm widely, with up to 25cm locally in W. Yorks. Severe drifting above 150m.

Need to watch for downgrades in the instability tho

Options to show it dont seem to be in the tools like ICIN -EU.

GFS 18Z keeps us in the deep cold with the risk of the deep cold moving westwards. Looks like a full week of ice days at this rate and very low minimum temps by end of the week

So does anyone Scott) lol want to have a go at a weekly forecast?? And anyone else for that matter.  Would be interested as a lot of others would be but will be also intending to see how close you are to what actually happens.  Just bought a new house today and not expecting to get much moved over this next seven days or so

Short answer?

No haha i tried one last night and got ripped to shreds on the mod thread for being too optimistic but also pal in this scenario its snow were looking at now we need to forecast 24 hours ahead only.

As a broad stroke comment the trend is to extend the cold spell as expected

My own forecast, it will be white in some areas with some areas being appreciably whiter than others.

Up to Tuesday I've drawn map.

I did it in 10 seconds so ignore the terrible drawing

Yellow line is where it could extend to

This is the previous run (12z), the 18x is almost complete. I'll run a slow GIF when its done.

You can see the hours and dates ticking over for the simulated forecast.

Wrf is the most reliable along with Euro4 within 30 hours

Thanks! just thought I’d ask as I thought the chance of snow for my area had all but gone for Sunday but it shows snow for quite a large area of Lincolnshire on that.
