12.5cm measured here, fantastic event yet again.

Drizzle and ice pellets for the last hour or so but not any drip drip yet, can't be far off though . 0.3c

50cm snowfall this winter so far .

A nice 14 cm here, light drizzle now. Just been out for a drive to take the missus to work, all side roads are still thick with it but she’s a nurse so gotta get her in

countdown to the next snow now hopefully but looking at it I think we are in a good position even if owt like gfs happens, it’s the southern contingent that are panicking

Not a flake in snowless Bridlington so far this winter ~ plenty of cold rain.

Different world here !

The front looks to have slowed down now in its Northwards movement, if only it had done this over us.

Sunday seems a long way off, hopefully the cold will return much earlier than forecast.

Here on the east coast in Bridlington it's been all about the amount of rainfall and strong winds this winter so far.

No snow upto Feb 2nd for the entire winter !

If the easterly comes off, i'm sure the snow starved eastern areas will get something!

That's the North Sea for you, even in the big winter snow storms of years ago coastal areas have some times had cold rain or sleet whilst us further inland have been buried under a foot of Snow.

What a disgrace lol !

Then in the spring (late march to May period) it can be bloody freezing here while inland lovely and warm. You just can't win

Yeah I know this because both my daughter's live at coast, one at Scarborough and other at Skegness.

Many a times in Spring we've set off with temps touching 20'C here in Rotherham and when we've got to coast it's been a very chilly 9'C with breeze off sea even in sunshine.

Need to move to west coast snowed an few times in Blackpool and was snowing again this morning though i doubt it settled. Has being pretty dismal so far great if you like cold rain and sleet though. Still not convinced by this Easterly if this goes tits up will firmly be in spring mode the daffs are slowly starting to poke there head out the ground now.

Rapid thaw in progress

Just what we expected really.

It will be all gone by morning, especially if that band of rain to West comes our way.

Seems like most of yorkshire had similar totals, didn't get any measurements but looked to be a good 10-15cm in ilkley.

Did make for a a tough day on the post though..  Atleast got all the covid test kits delivered!

I feel your pain, nothing but cold rain here all winter, last decent spell here was December 2010, managed a foot of snow then. Even the so called beast from the east 18 delivered little snow here as it was cold but fairly dry. I always feel low lying areas next to east coast here need -10 uppers+ to deliver anything substantial. Best hope has got to be early next week but even that is on a knife edge.

Ice day today surprisingly, a shame that the cold is at the surface so won't be conductive for snowfall.
