As expected, another fail here. It did turn to sleet for a while when it was heavier, but that was it.

Still no snow this winter, hopefully this weekend's snow makes it to T+0.

Awe that sucks hope the weekend delivers for you

About 8cm in South Sheffield. A good event, shame a thaw sets in quickly! Looking very good for the weekend still

Started to snow on the coast, not settling yet, but that could change. Gone from dry at 5.30am to a light fall at 6.10 to quite fast now. Medium flakes and a local weather station shows -1C dewpoint so that may help.

Just been out and done about 13 n half mile in this lot, I'd say around Brierley/South Heindley there's up to 10cms, result.

Measured 10cm now stopped waiting for what was in the rain gauge to melt to find the water content

Happy days, though I nearly spilled coffee watching it come down such a shame it's going to thaw later hopefully a starter to the main event later in the week

9cm measured in the garden table so far and still coming down.  Hoping it can slow down a bit , Met Office app predictions of snow till 1pm seems a bit optimistic but not too fussed as we have a good depth already.

Well just about stopping here now. A good event id say, a few inches here in the end, that last bit was good!

Defo more in Sheffield and the hillier areas looking at pics and reports from over there. Altitude helped with this one

Is nobody worried about what the gfs is like this morning or is it an outlier ?

Had a quick look and GFS is an outlier. ECM still amazing, I expect GFS to get back on track on the next run.
