I’m only down road from you and it’s 0c here. Not sure on the dew point though..

Noticed PIT saying it was 1 in Sheffield too. Guess it could be wind change and cloud encroaching ahead of the front...

In all fairness the other day I was coming up Herringthorpe Valley road and the temp dropped to -2 got back to mine near stag and it had gone back to 0

Oh you bet they will stay. Apparently the 18z isn't a good run. They Fail to mention we get a load of snow up here still.

Hoping for an interesting morning tomorrow traveling for work, not sure how I'll fare here near Kivo but off to Tankersley and western edge of Sheff and down to Chez Vegas to different construction sites, that's if they're open, fingers crossed for us all, sadly not a west Yorkshire day or Harrogate travelling one for me,  I think as others have said that bit extra Northern extent will help ?️

Yeah I wouldn’t worry to much buddy, temps aren’t due to fall to around freezing until early hours at moderate elevation

Up past Welsh Valleys and Snowdon area but still all rain according to radar. Where is the cold air starting?

This band of precipitation seems to be moving at quite a rate.  Is it supposed to stall or pivot across Yorkshire?  I can't see 6 hours falling snow otherwise?

A level 10 crisis in the main model thread - it lurches from euphoria to absolute dejection every 6 hours or so. For our region, things are still looking good for the weekend and beyond imo not to mention the likely moderate dumping (though temporary) for some of us later.

I was just trying to work that out also pal, I was thinking it’s moving up quickly. Does it slows down when it bumps into the cold air ??‍♂️.

Similar to Pit, up to 1.0°C now with a DP of -0.3°C and going the wrong way. Cloudy now with no wind at all but must be some kind of flow from the SE. Not too hopeful so a good night's sleep is in order.

Hope your mum gets better soon Scott.

It does seem to be turning to sleet/snow more readily now though

Most recent Met Office app update has snow/sleet 2-12 here so it's more or less on schedule.

It's good to see you posting again @Scott Ingham and i hope that you are fine and well, give my regards to your mum mate and i hope that she pulls through and gets better, has she had the vaccine?

looking at the latest NW radar return, snow is showing it's hand now in the SW approaches and looks heavy.

I've got to travel from Penistone to a client's in Worsborough tomorrow morning, by bus.

I've a funny feeling I won't be making it....

Currently it's 0.6C with a dew of -1C. Bring on the snow ❄️❄️

Thanks mate im well my mums in a bad state though but thanks for the words!

Looks ahead of schedule compared to the best model for us the euro4. This model showed snowfall from 3am. What this means im not sure as i cant see current conditions. The ones @ChezWeather posted are encouraging this far south however as i see Chesterfield a little too far south for snow
