Heavy fast snow here. Does look like the Aire gap is doing what it does.

Where are you located?

Snowing up near Ripponden/Sowerby Bridge. We had some snow last night too giving a covering over 200m.

Good to hear it is snowing in many other places! We do well out of North Westerlies and North Easterlies in the Pennines around West Yorkshire!

There seems to be a band developing from nowhere North South through Leeds, but from here it looks pretty high based?

Edit: that's interesting! 1286913068_Screenshot_20210123-095936_SamsungInternet.thumb.jpg.2a70d985e08fa032a8aa760029411a86.jpg

Oh god, I'm in a gap Says it's snowing lightly but it isn't and skies are blue to the west! 1477931565_Screenshot_20210123-101013_NWStormRadar.thumb.jpg.15f20cc4e9e4ce55871a5d6cc65dc79d.jpg

Well we got 10 minutes of very light dandruff out of it. Looks like the energy might be disappearing from the band west of Bradford so that might be it for this weekend! Looks I teresting for South Yorkshire, especially south of Sheffield.

Got a bit of dandruff in Garforth, suprised you didn't have a few flakes from that as you're in a heavier bit of the band according to that?!

Currently out in the garden stacking logs in the store for the fire and we now have very light snow.  If it wasn’t for being outside I doubt I’d see it!

There’s an element of south east movement to the showers so most of West Yorkshire will probably miss out. If it was straight west to east then we would be in the game....

Certainly looks like precipitation intensity has dropped off after its journey over the Pennines for us in Sheffield, Barnsley and Rotherham way. The main bulk has just missed us. Still opportunities though radar fairly active.

Seems to have burst into life over Leeds again, possibly in the gap that missed the first little band? Looking dark to my west... 16114019899307401020216399874451.thumb.jpg.d5a8ea605451245ae1d09ba6cd4a1b74.jpg32405335_Screenshot_20210123-113730_NWStormRadar.thumb.jpg.624a9344ce9e1b898feac175d45a91ad.jpg

Heavy snow here but not settling. A touch higher in the Peak District and there's a good covering though

It’s been lightly snowing here all morning, made for a lovely run up to ringinglow and back ..  so peaceful stood looking back down over the city with gentle falling snow, a light dusting on everything and no one around.. really made my day

Snowing lightly in Barnsley but can't see any more showers following on behind so expecting a dry afternoon. Be nice to get some clear skies overnight for a sharp frost.
