Send some up to the hills please.

I think looking at all the depths (and taking into account how people exaggerate) low ground certainly got lucky, but as ever elevation around 150m+ was the sweet spot.

Well I'm happy with my 8cm in Bingley lol.

I'm fairly happy with the way things are going re the models and the outlook. Could be a hell of a lot worse. 3 snowfalls so far this winter. I can understand the frustration of our southern contingent. But its reverse in summer...

Looking at pictures from around Leeds on Twitter/Instagram there really doesn’t seem to be much difference. Elevation simply wasn’t that important today.

12 hrs snow after 20 hrs of rain

great day seeing snow fall all day

looks as though about 8cm not bad for 50asl

We came close to having all 32 hours of snow falling, temp coming home from work yesterday evening 2'C and going to work at 5.30 this morning it was still 2'C.

A degree lower with slightly colder uppers and we could have been buried in it now.

That would have been some measuring feet not inches

And just like that *poof* the stalled band dissipates within about 45 mins

All stopped and it's very foggy now.

This is a pic from our camera. Normally we can't see anything at night, just the odd car coming around with headlights (the camera is in a bedroom window and the IR reflects off the glass and renders the camera useless). It's amazing how little light it takes to reflect off the snow and act like a natural night vision

Same here with the security camera on the front of the house.  We do have an outside light but normally the camera goes to black and white night vision around dusk and stays that way until dawn.  The reflective light from the snow is giving enough light to keep it in day light mode in colour!

Wow. What an amazing day. Ended up with 12cm at my elevation

A big shout out to Kasim and Scott! Their knowledge and input was very much appreciated.

But not to forget the likes of Cheese Rice and The PIT; who may have had differing opinions, but nonetheless their input is invaluable on this forum.

Onwards to the next few inches (and more!).....
