If we have this much snow at 125 ASL I can't imagine what its like 300-400 asl bet its like narnia!

It's nothing to write home about at altitude honestly. This event hasn't produced much altitude based difference as the snow line fell rapidly at 8am.

What's people's current temps and Dews?

Mines been at like 0c for both most of the day but not sure if that's true. Wind cups are full of snow lol so that's not accurate today but thought temps etc would be with it being underneath, so just wondered

Sorry been away in the kitchen having dinner. Temp: 1.3°C DP: 0.9°C

Pleased some places have had a decent snowfall, 6 inches is my benchmark.

Alas awaiting more than a cm cover still this season here, missed out about 5 times now on something more substantive..  our time will come..

I agree, I’ve just driven Sheffield covering varied altitudes and whilst it is deeper at altitude, I’m surprised at the amount of snow in places like Attercliffe that is virtually sea level!

Looks as though Eastern parts of region are drying up, I'm expecting us to follow over next couple of hours.

Some great pictures. I really do miss living near Sheffield. The SE is rubbish for snow! We'll be opening an office Leeds and so I'll be trying to persuade my London born and bred parter to move north. If I succeed I'll be asking this thread the best part of Leeds for snow...

I once did a thread , do you consider height when you move (more chance of snow etc) many did

Neighbour had to clear his drive and road to get his car back on the drive.  He did that about an hour ago, and its white over again already even though snow is very light with very small flakes.

Being sad I've been looking at motorway cams. Zilch on the M1 until you get to Mansfield then you can see the weather deteriorate as you get towards Chesterfield and Sheffield. On the M62 you don't have to got that too far east before it disappears.

Yes still slightly snowing here now so I'm definitely putting today down as a 12 hour snow day! One to cherish and remember for many of us! ?️

Be interesting to see how low temps drop. Looks like no thaw tomorrow as well ❄️

Nice pics. The gritters must have counting out the grit here. The roads getting covered again but the pavement and drive I cleared and gritted very lightly is still clear.

Same here.  Roads were terrible in Barnsley by 8.30 this morning and only continued to deteriorate throughout the day.  Not seen a single plough either!  Although don’t get me started in our wonderful council services....
