Sweet spot is rotherham doncaster bradford and leeds. They have the stalling band over them its strengthening in situ. It should back west to you later on

Still quite moderate in north Sheffield.
My daughter sent me a pic from Tapton School in the even higher southwest of the city and surprisingly the depth seems less down there than north Sheffield. It’s normally the other way around.

Very heavy snow in NW Leeds. Id say we have about 5" and it's absolutely barreling it down. The roads are entirely covered and you're not really going anywhere unless you have a suitable vehicle, having said that the 4x4 that just went past out house was struggling up the hill too.

Downside is I was supposed to take my Dad to the hospital for an importnat appointment, so that's had to be cancelled :(

For those in sheff and further west you arent done yet.

Spot the dark green on the first chart.

This is the narrow band im in

Look at the second picture at 12.

It backs west ans brings others into play while getting bigger and expanding

Just back from my 2nd trip out this morning, taking shopping to father in law.

We’ve got about 4-6cm in Barnsley and it’s still coming down steadily.  Main roads are a real mess, with most cars and vans getting stuck on any slight incline.  2nd picture below is of the main A635 heading out of Barnsley.

Daughter is a primary school teacher and stuck in school until all parents gave collected kids.  @Craigers  What is Ardsley hill like, as she is at Oakhill Primary and has to get home to Darfield.

Just outside the heavier precip in Huddersfield. Hoping for a west ward shift but it's painfully slow

Just starting to see a few bigger flakes here, and slight evidence on the radar that it's filling out to the West
