Cold wet and windy in Bridlington.

Still not a flake of snow here this winter upto 9am today.

Plenty of frost and ice though in recent weeks.

Last winter 30 mins of light snowfall in February one morning at 06.30.

The Brid snow shield is doing its job so far this winter lol.

Have a great day people.

Turned to snow here about 7.00am, was heavy until 8.00, now moderate. 1-2cms here in central Huddersfield, but certainly worse as you move out of the urban area - I know because my wife (somewhat foolishly, although it was only sleet when she left) took my daughter to work in Scisset (five miles SE of Hudds), and she's now stuck in traffic on the main Hudds - Wakefield road just outside Lepton, and has barely moved for 30 minutes.

Turned to snow here just after 7:30, have around 3cm+ already. Hope it doesn't turn to rain at some point, not forecast too, as could be a 10cm+ total by the end of this.

Although intensity has dropped im still getting the same rate of settling as the colder 850s continue to move in which is giving me snow with a lot less water content

Numphty walking up the road. Same amount of snow on there as on the pavement. However risk of skidding cars on the road. Not sensible.

Heavy snow now, temp still at 1.5c, just starting to stick

Was gonna say that is weird when it is completely covered in the Rother Valley yet you didn't have any very weird the colder air must be travelling at a snails pace your way.

What’s your prediction for our neck of the woods (South Yorkshire) total wise? Already at 3CMs.

Id say maximum 7cm bud but in all honesty its impossible. You cant read a computer amymore now its watch a radar n twitch your curtain time

What does happen though is conditions become less marginal by the hour. So if you have precipitation over you more of it should stick if its heavy enough

Coming down heavy here , the radar returns look even more impressive to the south.

Same here, not even a hint of sleet either. Pretty desperate when you know there’s no chance of snow but hoping to see some sleet at least

Takes something rather special doesn’t it for us to get some meaningful snow this Far East to the coast.
