Currently out, wife needing to shop for her 92 year old dad, so gives me opportunity to give the XC60 All Wheel Drive a test!  It doesn’t get that very often!

Main roads out of Barnsley now white over and traffic is slow.  Will be interesting getting back into our street and drive given it’s block paved and slippy at the best of times!

You won't have any problems with the XC60. I had to apply the snow chains last week but can't be bothered today. I think it would be better for me to buy some snow tyres rather than messing with the chains.

Yep, you are right.  It’s pretty good in snowy conditions!   A couple of winters ago we went to Rievaulx Abbey in snow and it got us up the 1 in 4 Rievaulx Bank in 4 inch of snow!   Brilliant!

A very nice covering outside now.  Winter Wonderland stuff and the snow still coming down with good intensity.

The local forecast suggests heavy snow until 3pm and then light snow until 7pm!  ?❄

now im not moaning but can we have some big chunky flakes please ty

Ignore that mate! The snow is more powdery hence why the snow flakes are smaller! Our dew is -0.5c so its perfect settling dry snow

I would say that is right but there will be periods of lighter snow in between heavier bursts so id radar watch atm.

A lot of the heavier stuff appears to be heading South

4pm is my guess

I think its moving im quicker than forecast but there could be forcing from the colder uppers at 10/11

Covered here, didn't take long at all to do so. Just got a neighbour in a TT trying to drive up my road, no chance! Probably say it's moderate snow about 1cm deep

I think the Met Office warning across the region has underplayed the amount of snow and the affected area again?
