The best it here is they can't grit as its been washed away.

I was living up by lady lane in Bingley in 1979 that was a superb winter.

Yes, you are under the evaporative cooling area. I.e., below 200m & in the cold area, this has been determined as requiring some precipitation based cooling to lower the snow line. You should reach the wet bulb temp every 1.5 hours. Google wet bulb calculator to find this. Keep us posted.

P.S. Some areas further NW in this category under heavier ppn have reached snow much quicker due to 4mm+/hr rates. The central belt is now a good example.

Its because your in the lightest precipitation mate. You need the intensity for evaporative cooling

Basically what Kasim has just said dummed down haha
