Some hefty looking showers coming in off the North sea now.

Looking like they might turn more readily to snow too. Might be a few surprises this afternoon after last nights damp squib

Reports of settling snow in Scarborough.  Not sure how accurate that is but bodes well for areas inland that do catch a shower later today and tonight if correct?

Light rain at 2.c

The worst easterly I've ever experienced.

If only source of air originated from Siberia instead of East end of Med.

Raining here. Sorry to sound like a moaner but cant be the only one feeling a little let down so far? There isnt a real signal as to where we will be in next couple weeks at the minute and before saturday its looked like a good week coming up at least till friday. Even thursdays front system looks to be diminishing. 2c and rain doesnt do it for me. Give me a wind and rainstorm anyday over that.

Very disappointing again overnight !

Fri looks to be our next chance ( although it is a decaying front ) moving South.

It will probably run out of steam as it approaches Yorkshire. ( i'm getting a bit weary of this chase now )

That feature will be non existent by time its gets to 0 hours if its anything to go by recent events. Though last weeks early hours snowfall was a bit of a surprise. Been a major let down in my opinion.

I can see Acklam and Leavening Brow from my bedroom and noticed it white over this morning.

You must have nice views from your house then!!

Worked on farms at Acklam/Scrayingham and leppington 20yrs ago ,fab views over that way,if only mobile phones were decent back then would have had some cracking photos.

Dry day here was a little snow on the windscreen this morning but dry since then. S likes the front on Thursday night and Friday boosting it as a low pressure forms. Met going for light spell of snow. Since this cold spell has been very poor regards to snow let it go out with a bang rather than a whimper. More likely to go out with a whimper.
