I am not sure that the band in the north sea will reach here,it could skirt to my NW,Hmmm!!!

Im thinking the same. Seems more of an Easterly over North Easterly flow now

Tell you what, there's some big showers popped up near York that I'll keep an eye on!

Honestly the bbc is a bit of a joke at the moment, makes nothing of the feature that is currently modelled on radar. Instead turns it into patchy rain showers, instead of the organised mass of precipitation we are currently seeing that is delivering snow. For people out and about on the roads it makes it dangerous. Let’s hope the band corrects eastwards into South Yorkshire, hoping the front that has moved through the NW into midlands has some effect on this. Potential.

Daughter lives on coast at Scarborough and they're having Snow so we shouldn't have a problem down here in South Yorkshire, not even the low ground here East of Rotherham.

2.1c with rain here in Malton. Honestly think this is one of the unluckiest spots in North Yorkshire for snow!

Stopped snowing here for now and slowly melting ... just waiting for main course off the North York Moors now... need it to arrive soon so as not to land on wet surface.

Snow here in ls12 and radar looks good for a few hours.

Snow is unmelted in BD11 so may get a measurement later for the two events.

Look at how it is now organising like the other band with back building near south Yorkshire. We want this to grow in size

100% this. The area of precipitation is also moving a lot quicker than the initial band that just seems to be meandering across then country, these look to be combining. Could be a quite a sustained spell of winter for some.
