Yes, Nadal looking so good. I don't think he's dropped a single set so far
    in this Aussie Open.

Drat, I slept through the two women's semis from Australia ..  This from the BBC sports page ..

Naomi Osaka claimed an impressive victory over Serena Williams to reach the Australian Open final and end the American's latest quest for a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title.

Three-time Slam champion Osaka withstood early pressure from Williams to win 6-3 6-4.

Osaka is on a 20-match unbeaten streak and has never lost a Slam final.

The Japanese will face Jennifer Brady in Saturday's final after the American beat Karolina Muchova.

Brady came past the Czech 6-4 3-6 6-4 to seal a spot in her first Grand Slam final.

It will be a rematch of the 2020 US Open semi-final, which Osaka came through in three sets.

Keeping half an eye on the men's semi .. much more atmosphere with the spectators back in.
Novak Djokovic looking in very good form, so far today untroubled by his abdo pain, playing against the 27 yr old Russian qualifier,  Aslan Karatsev.
Novak takes the first two sets, 6-3 and 6-4

might be lack of respect but this was probably easiest semi final ever, not heard of Karatsev in all these Wimbledon's I've watched

Everyone knew this would be easy win for Djokovic, could have been 1st round

And Djokovic does it, 3 straight sets, taking the 3rd set 6-2
First time I'd heard of Aslan Karatsev too, but he's had a great tournament and leapt up the rankings.

    B.  🙂

    BBC Sports Page:

Britain's Joe Salisbury is one more win from another Australian Open crown after reaching the men's doubles final at the expense of Jamie Murray.

Salisbury and American partner Rajeev Ram - the defending champions and fifth seeds - won 6-4 7-6 (7-2) against Murray and Brazil's Bruno Soares.

Defeat ended Murray and Soares' winning start in 2021 after reuniting.

Second seeds Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka won the women's doubles title by beating third seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova in a one-sided final.

Belgium's Mertens and Belarusian Sabalenka won 6-2 6-3 to clinch their second Grand Slam title together.

Afterwards the pair - who are both ranked in the world's top 20 singles - said they would be putting their partnership on "partial hold" to focus on the individual events.

Medvedev looking dominant, taking a two sets lead over Tsitsipas

    6-4 and 6-2

Can Tsitsipas make another mega comeback .. seems unlikely ..

Britain's Joe Salisbury and American partner Rajeev Ram missed out on defending their men's doubles title as they lost to Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek in the Australian Open final.

The pair were beaten by Croatia's Dodig and Slovak Polasek 6-3 6-4.
