To add to my post above, the front that is moving across South Wales now, although causing a rise in temperature for many, may still give some light snow to inland areas and higher areas of the south east. Although light it looks to have become more organised as its moving across the country.

Not sure I'll see any in Caerphilly to be honest.

Yep not much if any expected here tonight mate. Although some light snow/flurries possible from the front that is currently moving south east.

Tomorrow is certainly still possible, but uncertain how south it comes. Some have precipitation reaching the south coast, other models dont take any precipitation past the beacons and staying dry.

ECM just out now has a good amount of snow for inland North Wales tomorrow.

It also has an area of precipitation in the south east around midday. However its just rain/sleet on ECM.

Seems to be some heavy showers behind the front crossing Wales?

That front is deffinitly raising temperatures as it moves across.

30 minutes ago my car was still covered in ice from this morning.

Just popped outside, ice melted and spotting with rain now.

Yep but with the less cold air moving in with them too. Frustrating.

I wonder why it's rain all of a sudden and temperatures rising? This happened when we last had a snow warning and they managed to get it all wrong.

Can see the warmer sector well on the models using 850hpa temps for instance.

2pm today

Then 8pm today - can see the less cold air (lighter blue) is now almost over the whole of Wales.

5pm tomorrow - back in colder air again with the coldest air moving south through Ireland.

No, tomorrow is still possible ?? The rise in temp tonight was expected but that’s separate to tomorrow’s potential snow.

MetO warning is associated with the precip moving south on Friday not tonight.

Lovely! Hope you and Norman had fun; there's nothing like the atmosphere of a snowy forest. It's safe to say that this cold spell has been a disappointment in terms of snowfall around these parts with just a few deposits here and there, which is a bit surprising as inland South Wales tends to do well for snow compared to the rest of Southern Britain and the Midlands, but it's really nice to see proper snow elsewhere in Wales.

Drizzly sleet here.

Warm front has gone through now as the name warmer suggest the warmer air is ahead of the front not behind .Colder air is now filtering down from Midlands it has now turned most of the precipitation to snow look to the North East for our next area of pp pushes in Wales as  dawn breaks .

As that last front shifted from west to east past briton ferry which is more or less on the coast , the last pp of the front was very light snow in the air. And it feels bitterly cold out there now. Hopefully through the night with heavier precip, hopefully can see some proper snow. Ice has already started to form on my patio also.

Temp of 1.2c and dew point of 0.0c yet we had light rain. A lot of other winters ive seen that give sleet or snow see what tomorrow brings, don't kniw why I still remain hopeful being on the coast everytime a band of precip moves through, I must be crazy!!
