Most models have Wales under snowfall on Saturday. Today’s front was always forecast to make it to the SW before fizzling out. Saturday is our best chance to see a few cm before milder air pushes in on Sunday where any precipitation that gets to us will likely be rain.

What’s worse than rain?  A snow to rain event.  That’s what!!!!

It will be a blink and miss snow event I believe. Similar to what we saw a few weeks ago

Wind gusting to 22mph. Dew point minus 4.6 degrees Temp 2 degrees.

Every water trough has frozen, and that's only the second time in 22 years.

The cows have had a blast outside today whilst sorting the yard out.

We had walkers complaining about the ice on the bridle path that goes down to the beach.  I was even asked for hot water for their flask as I was carrying kettles of hot water to defrost frozen pipes . Hoping for a dusting of snow as recompense!

It's not just the beeb teasing us. Netweather have me down with a 95% chance of snow today too. ??‍♀️

The forecasts have all gone mad.

Nothing down West, this Met Office Warning should be removed

The warning doesn't start until 9pm tonight for down west, running until tomorrow morning so there must be more Precipitation later that the MetO were more concerned about.

Surely it won't all die out.

Probably for most areas. It has unfortunately been doing that all day so far, but this bit now has made it closer to land. You never know but very unlikely for us anyway.

Hopefully Pembrokeshire can still catch the end of it later on.

Hoping for some good runs for Saturday from the 12z's but I can see the trend for weaker precipitation becoming stronger.

Accuweather’s prediction for me.... and given the current wind speed it’ll blow about quite a bit...

UK long range weather forecast

Tuesday 16 Feb - Thursday 25 Feb

This period begins with temperatures much milder than as of late, with temperatures returning to around average/ slightly about average for most and with some mild spells being seen in the south and west. The UK looks to be split broadly east and west in terms of the general weather types with the west being wet with strong winds at times, and the east being drier and finer. Any snowfall also then most likely becomes restricted to the Scottish mountains. From the weekend of the 20th, there are signs of more widespread settled conditions becoming established - which would correspond with temperatures falling back to below average, and with increased incidence of overnight frost and fog.

Updated: 16:00 (UTC) on Thu 11 Feb 2021

Thursday 25 Feb - Thursday 11 Mar

Into late February there is a signal for higher than average pressure to expand westwards leading to an increased chance of snow showers redeveloping in the east, for conditions in the north to become generally quite settled and for unsettled weather in the south, with disruptive snow possible. A similar picture continues into March, though milder conditions in the west look more likely to spread northwards.

Think the warning only starts at 9pm because the first front was meant to fizzle out. The second one for 6am tomorrow looks like its made further  inroads.
