bringing 4 to 5 cm widely....and the trend in northward corrections !!!

Some has moved north but others have kept it just hitting in the english coast , i said yesterday it needs to move a 100 mies north  and its moved a few miles but needs to go a lot more north.

GFS 6z has just thrown a 24 hour staller over Wales for Thursday. Marginal upper air temps but could deliver!

Don't worry about marginality dense cold air embedded.

Well this is how far further north tuesday weather system is on the 0z compared to yesterdays 12.. Its gone back south on the 6z but i think the 6zs-18zs are not that good. Will it get further north on the 12zs , we will find out.

Shortwaves being ejected from main low Keith? Seems to be far more disruption to those Atlantic systems showing this morning.

Yes one good thing air unstable air in place  look at the sleet we got now, radar watching is a must. until the drier N Easterly takes over later next week.

Really like the look of this, could be a repeat of what happened last Sunday where the models trended North at the last minute

I do hope we manage a good snowfall this week. Seeing the level 3 cold alert issued for England and the snow risk for the east of England/Scotland this week. Makes me jealous lol been 3 years since ive seen more that a couple cm of snow. Fingers crossed for this week!

See Marcus nothing forecasted. More to come as easterly and colder air digs in.

yeah quite a suprise really...im looking up to the sky and i can litterally see the flakes falling up there, absolutely massive flakes, the snow level is about 800ft....it still hasnt dropped any further but mad to see the snow falling above me but mixing with rain once it hits ground

It's a lot colder today than forecast, we have had heavy wet snow all morning with a temp of 1.9 degrees. Today was forecast to reach 6 degrees. I hope tonight's snow pushes further West because i firmly believe it will fall as snow to low levels once the cold air get's dragged with it and over takes it. It's cold already with showers off an Irish Sea (jst shows wat knocking two degrees of the Irish Sea (thanks to a cold Jan) has done. Works wonders.

Sleet here for me, with big flakes in the mix. Can see the hills opposite and all around now turning white. Probably around 250m up

Hills above Cwmdare and Hirwaun I can see from my lounge window, are now white. Looks like snow has been falling and settling above around 750-800’ this morning

Certainly a surprise

Way colder than modelled for sure

Yes, was not expecting to see a flake of snow today, let alone it settling on the hills opposite.

Any one think there is a chance the front that moves across Wales tonight will have anything left on it by the time it makes it to the west?  Presuming all the high ground in mid Wales will cause it to fizzle out.

Sleet here in the Swansea valley, but settling snow on the hills above 200m, was not expecting this today....hoping the showers tonight can push west...
