Anyone know how long this is in for

Looks like in some shape or form through til early / mid evening - assuming it's going to continue to get lighter though and probably wetter close to coasts without too much accumulation!

Fair play Andy, Harmonie has done really well on today and last weekend. Previously HIRLAM wasn't it? Which wasn't so great?

Third snow event in January for me, pretty good considering January is normally a damp squib most years. February is traditionally our coldest month, so fingers crossed for more next month. I keep forgetting it's the last day of January today!

yes i noticed harmonie was spot on with a few events now - so i'll trust it from now on - euro4 has lost the plot altogether

Yeah, have noticed that just completely underplays any ppn at all. Weird how it can change like that!

Well wasn’t I wrong! Didn’t think it was going to be snowing in Cardiff today. Settling on cars, grass and roofs for now. I have a bit of elevation how’s the rest of Cardiff doing?

Poor quality I know but you can almost make out the snow line on distant hills I'm guessing 150m possibly.

The stuff over the channel looks a lot more heavier, let’s see if we can get it over here when it gets dark however we do run the risk of it also introducing milder air

I’m in the Heath and it has settled on the grass, cars and roofs too, particular ones where exposed to wind. However not accumulating any more than what they have now.

Still snowing in though but small flakes again now. 0.7c

Nothing crazy but a very enjoyable day either way!

Harmonie did good today fairplay...for all my harmonie bashing itks performed well this weekend. If only it were a tad colder we would be looking at 4/5inches just like last weekend. Still snowing moderate to heavy here and a covering on most surfaces bar roads and pavements

I'm right down at sea level in Grangetown. Snow has been falling quite a while, but it's very wet and not settled at all.

yeah think 10cm widley would not have been out of the question ....just about 0.5 to 1 degree too warm a surface level to get it to settle straight away this time .........

Ah, lovely! I think nostalgia for childhood is a big part of why so many us love snow as much as we do as adults.

The snow here has started to settle on paths, pavements and roads in the last hour and it’s now totally white outside, although curiously it’s not doing that further up the valley in Merthyr. Suppose a slightly high altitude doesn’t necessarily guarantee lower DPs.
