Was very icy on the drive to work thismorning, some nice deeper snow along the a48. Had a few light rain showers here in Cowbridge (where im working). Think it will be too warm now here and back home in Barry for anymore snow. Glad to see some have had a nice few inches finally!

Question is, will the showers intensify or will the Beacons eat them up? Assuming they may stand a better chance than the main front, which will dissolve well before it makes it back down south?

What are your thoughts on the showers?

I reckon they will fall as sleet or snow but lose their strength over the Beacons.

Yeah, get that feeling too. Think whatever falls will be wintry given the timing, but can't see them holding much if anything!

I agree the radar lies sometimes.

Yes confirmation it’s Just Rain here would have liked these showers to have arrived later this evening as we may have been the right side of marginal but temp is 3oC here now

They should arrive when dark anyway but like you say depends if the beacons eat them up. Have you got much snow left?

Snowing heavy here and the showers are very slow moving as well. Already topped up 1cm on existing snowcover!

Yeah, pretty much a full covering still but the sun definitely chipped away at the depth! Glad it clouded over a bit - can't sniff at a full day's snow cover down here! How about your way?

Think you might get round two as it starts to journey SSE later this afternoon.

Ooh goody!  The gift that keeps on giving, and it has started snowing again.  Mince pies made, just had one with a rum laced coffee.  Yum yum.

Same here, the sun has definitely got to work on the depth!
