My guess is that it'll pivot somewhere between Gloucester and Birmingham, the further south the better for those of us in South Wales.

Sweet spot will be Bristol/West Midlands

Love the fact that snow makes night time look light

Snow has a really high albedo meaning it reflects a lot of light hence the reason why everything seems brighter when there’s snowfall especially near lampposts

Agreed. It's not common for the Bristol area to see proper snow, so I'm pleased for them. It's currently what my mother would call "picking" to snow, and I'd be happy for it to do this for most of the day.

Hoping this shower clump moving onto the south east coast is destined for Cardiff! Missed all the falling snow with the front having moved in quicker so would be good to see some!

The front has maintained intensity well so wherever it does stall, will be in for a great day I imagine!

I've got a feeling that's it for us. Not going to complain though, had more than expected!

Anyone know what the temperature profiles are today - are we expecting the majority of the snow to melt or are we staying cold enough to maintain coverings?

I think it's starting to pivot already.

Yes Jay definitely more pronounced now, just an hour too late for us I think.

It's due to swing back later on so maybe a bit more snow then.

Well my enthusiasm tempered - it's just turned to heavy drizzle outside - this is not on!

Didn't think that was an outcome.

All of a sudden the temperature has risen here and a good melt kicked in. Drip drip drip ☹️

Probably intensity of the precipitation and seems to be warming up a bit now.

Raining with a few flakes here now, hope it doesn’t wash it all away before sunrise!

for low areas like here, we really needed that front to be slower and pivot further west.
Can’t complain, first snow of winter!

Yes just cold rain now, snow pretty much all gone now, expect it will be icy out there though!
