Heavy rain here at the moment but temperature dropping fast. 4.0c now.

Updated MetOffice text forecast for Sunday - slightly at odds with their warning text.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Occasional rain and snow, mainly over the hills in south clearing during the afternoon on Sunday.

Sounds like a bit of a downgrade?

Newport gets a battering

Nice angle of attack no Swest wind.front sliding from the NWest across Wales. So Nwest Wales should get 4 to 6cms.Again another positive doesn't  reach SWales until 4am temperatures should be around 1c max,so looking good.

I havent seen the UKV myself but i take it from the chart posted there it shows a spell of sleet/snow for most even in the south?

Latest ICON actually shifts things further south, looks great at first sight but its whether or not this trend of moving it south continues now or not.

Probably come down to watching the radar no doubt.

It won't be 5c at 4am even in the South! I mentioned the other day that another down dwelling had taken place this week. This is now showing up in the models.Expect the mild spell to be constantly downgraded next week expect a cold northerly  by the end of next week.

Looks like snow to start and then it turns to rain for pretty much everyone apart from the beacons according to that

This is the UKV's take on how the front moves through Wales on Sunday, it shows it as a mostly snow event

I like that UKV, has all snow even for me on the south east coast so pretty much everyone bar maybe western costal fringes would see snow I'd presume by that? We can all but hope!

Travelling back from Birmingham earlier heads of the valleys road by brynmawr was snowing heavy and settling no problem. also seen the hills in pembrokeshire have a covering and was snowing over the higher parts of the A40 roughly 200M. Sunday looks the best shot for south wales on sunday and here  just have to hope the front is lively enough.

I'm sure Rhys Wales would be really happy with that! Being from Newport.

That looks pretty good for the majority of us.

Everything looks so good so far, but it seems like this is coming out of the blue (no embedded cold etc) so won't be confident until it's happened

I like the look of the way it wraps around. Be nice to see that happening about 50 miles further west!
