Looks like a pretty decent chance for most of the country here.

100% pretty much no marginality on Sunday apart from possibly the immediate coast

Yes hoping so James! If the majority of models stay like they are, we'll all be fine. Its good to hear no rain mentioned in the warning. Your location should be especially well placed!

Only small worry is Arpege taking it to far south. Bound to be some uncertainty at this stage though and the majority of models are good for us all.

It’s nice to cherry pick the bad one this time as all major models point to a decent event

Haha agree! Definitely more confident than the other events so far, but what can go wrong usually does when you live at 10m!

Where do you live? It’s a pain not having people’s locations by their avatars on iPhone, you have to go into their profiles and it looks like you’re creeping on them

Cardiff so almost as low as it gets!

Before Sunday, later today looks like a good chance for many inland areas too! Then tomorrow morning it looks like a dangler will set up in the west with colder air than currently. Plenty of chances, I think you'll see snow later in Aberdare

Derek brockway hates snow by the looks of it. Consistently going against the met office and loves mentioning snow mainly on higher ground.

Just been nosing on his Twitter. He's not loving the idea is he. Come on, Derek. Give us coastal dwellers some hope

On the westest of west coasts... 2degrees...heavy hail shower. There must be something in it as my house is 60masl.

Well this weekend is certainly the best chance of the winter so far

I think Feb will bring something more noteworthy

At least this winter has been more interesting than last years. Apart from the horrendous flooding it was just mild and boring here with v little snow to speak of even on the hills 1400’ around Aberdare

This year I’ve had 3-4 trips out with my 3 yr old to play in the snow higher up

I have it on good authority that Derek has a preference for mild weather, but on this occasion I think he's just being cautious considering some of the uncertainty there still is over Sunday's event. At the moment I only expect marginality to be a possible problem for the coast from the Vale of Glamorgan westwards, and even that is not certain.

Showers of sleet and snow across high ground in North Wales as we speak. Showers of rain moving towards South Wales from the west with a decent chance of some hail, sleet or wet snow in Southeast Wales, but I think settling snow is unlikely.

I did notice that on Twitter Derek mentioned sleet/rain for Swansea and Barry.

Difficult one to call really, personally im not expecting much here in Swansea because ive seen better setups produce rain for me - one of the caveats of living close to the coast. But even here i feel it may switch to snow on the back-edge for a time.

I'm glad I moved to Caerphilly then, at least there's more chance of snow there than in Cardiff.

All snow noe , roads treacherous up there. Snow as far down as cymmer. So far.

Got to be over 600m asl up here.

*Everything turning white and thunder and lightning time to go I think

Raining heavy here in Bargoed area.

Large hailstones just before I came home via Caerphilly mountain.

Currently 4.3°C here, mild...... or too 'mild' for snow
