Lots of road closures around here. Still raining and my septic tank has had enough!

The rain has just turned to snow here. Fairly wet at the moment but it's turning earlier than I expected.

It would help us if you gave a little more detail on your location such as your elevation as NW Wales is a big area

The weather is appalling here, had nearly 140mm of rain. Where else in the Uk has only a yellow warning for so much rainfall in such a short space of time, and more to come, beggars beyond belief. And now the temperature is dropping like a stone and I see sleet is very close, within a few miles on the radar, if it does indeed change to snow early, we could have a pasting, so much precipitation still left to come. Wild weather.

think it must be the squall - wind change ,. ramping up the moisture and converging.
~ NWR showing a lot of sleet in the SW and the odd bit of snow too... I wouldn't be surprised if there's some thundersnow about .. may'be some local hail too

We have heavy driving sleet and wet snow now here, this could be a surprise, mind you, with all the surface water, snow won't stick to puddles or newly formed rivers around the garden and roads!

Keep safe everyone...seems it will get worse before it gets better...even after the rain stops there will still be water flowing from the hills and mountains into the rivers so I expect these to keep rising....has been a bizarre winter so far!

I don't want to go on and on, so this is the last I will say of it but I am really disappointed with the METO warning system once again. Roads closed the length and breadth of Wales, homes flooded, bridges damaged, fields under water and the forecast and radar showed this would happened, if anything more rain has actually fallen than first anticipated.

The metoffice updated warnings earlier, with given new data and still failed to issue an amber. Institutional Negligence!

Odd looking precip type chart showing sleet and snow almost the exact outline of wales bar the south and east at the mo could be some surprises now

As the last heavy precipitation left brtion ferry could feel the colder air digging in behind during the brief interlude. Hopefully any more showers can see a few flakes.  Although not very hopeful in my location.

Same here - was not expecting this, despite potential from models. Temp & DP dropping fast. Most surfaces getting covered, despite being on top of 38.6mm rain since 00Z.

Enjoy it in the North...I can confirm that it is raining terribly here . Hopefully we may see some of the snow down here later on

supposedly it's snowing less than 10miles to your west.
