Temp here is 0.9 c still frosty on the grass but cars have a wet look but don't worry the cold starts to dig in soon. Cannot access charts as I'm in work on a break. Still cold though let's see.

Looks like the parcel of precipitation moving over the Mersey is getting reinvigorated as it crosses the sea could be a good thing for us southerners as it may well reach us with more intensity left in it fingers crossed

Lightly snowing here in Glyn.  Hear there is a bit on Horseshoe Pass in Llangollen, local currently stuck there.  Gritters rushing up and dow,  radar shows wee while longer but I think it will turn to sleet then rain.  Very pretty to look at as I eat my porridge.

Precipitation increasing in North Wales throughout the morning and looks persistent almost all day in some areas. Could be a good covering in sweet spots there! Good luck!

Down south, the Metoffice text forecast is more encouraging than I thought for today. However let’s see how far South the precipitation comes and when it arrives. Still waiting for some snow here in Cardiff. Been a long cold spell but just the wrong side of marginality on the coasts so far.

Looking further ahead for the next cold spell, the ECM is showing this on this morning's run, which actually ties in with the Met Office's longer range forecast following on from the SSW in the past few days:

Quote

The south is more likely to see unsettled conditions with the potential for milder than average temperatures here, but this will also bring a risk of further snow where this meets the colder conditions to the north. - Met Office

Unlikely to verify exactly like this, but shows a potential scenario of what could set up over the next 30 days.

Lovely, enjoy!

2.0c down here in Cardiff so even if it makes it, likely to be wet not white here again. Plenty more opportunities to come hopefully!

Ooh! Somewhat surprised!  Nipped out to pick up the eggs from farm near Land of Eng (little or no snow),  still steadily snowing back home, although not really sticking at village level but suspect there will be white out in land of Norman walking Narnia on the tops good 250feet  above me).
