Have you still got the davis loopback lead?

If so put in the blue connector on the back of your pc and then do a loopback test in weatherlink.

Let us know the results.

Right I'm off to bed.

think so, red on one end, is that it.

assume it is so will do as you suggest and post result in here, not sure if be done tonight though

Well, no response from Pit so I am totally at a loss. I'll do the set up mode again on the console after powering it and weatherlink down, see if anything shows up. Getting to the point where I really do not feel capable of doing any more and giving up as a bad job. At least, fingers crossed, I am getting real time data on my console.

Steady on John I maybe at home but have to work you know.

When you did the loopback did you use the davies cable and plug that into the blue adaptor then run the test?

Okay sounds like a problem with the port itself.

If the motherboard is an older one it will be inbuilt into the motherboard which isn't good news.

If it's not built in it will be connected by a cable so I wonder if that has come off.

Sorry mate you have lost me. Motherboard! Is that the actual pc you are talking about? Where is it? How do I know if it has come, or its cable has come off?

Simply put please Pit I am not a pc laddy!

The tower is, I think, about 8-9 years old. When I asked the pc engineer in January as he was putting Windows 10 on I asked if the pc needed replacing and he said no? Just a comment that may help.

add

brain slightly in gear now, yes I know it is the pc. Not sure what else, there is a 'D' drive that is plugged into it, copies of some of the files needed, nothing to do with WeatherLink, the pc seems to operate okay if that is any guide, a bit slow it seems to me and that is I am sure more evident since Windows 10 was put on, no idea if there is a link there. About all I can tell you Pit.

This what a motherboard is https://study.com/academy/lesson/what-is-a-motherboard-definition-function-diagram.html

Can you download and run https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Click on the mainboard tab and tell me the manufacturer and the model number.

I maybe able to find a layout of the motherboard.

At the moment I'm trying to figure out why some php files don't always run with the task scheduler in windows would help if I knew what I was doing with php. So I may not respond until tomorrow.
