Grrr Weather station lost some of it's sensors

These go via a wireless repeater due to reception issues in one of my rooms.

Replaced the battery came back then went off. The battery wasn't totally new.

Put a new one nothing then came back a few hours later.

Supercap problem I thought.

Yes I was right except there's two  50 uf caps still at 2.7v on a 3v line. So of course will go pop.

Ordered some 3v 50uf from Farnell. They shouldn't go pop.

I'm stunned that we still have this design fault.

Cap replaced showing the expected low battery as the new cap charges up. One cap was fine so left it be for now.
