NHC - "Zeta should spend less than 12 hours over land as it crosses Yucatan, but that's enough time to probably drop it below hurricane strength early tomorrow. However, environmental conditions are unseasonably conducive for intensification so late in the year in the southern and central Gulf of Mexico, with fairly light shear and warm waters during the next 24 to 36 hours. As the hurricane nears the northern Gulf Coast, it is likely to encounter stronger shear and cooler waters, so some weakening is anticipated, but Zeta is still expected to be at or near hurricane intensity at landfall."

Mexico met warning about ZETA which has made landfall

LIVESTORMCHASING.COM

Watch live feeds as storm chasers try to see if their target verifies. Tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, and floods - we've got it all and...

Have a look at Remote cam 3 - Waveland MS, Visible Storm surge incoming, can see it creeping up through the drains, slowly inundating the road and also beginning to creep over the pavement!

EDIT: 5 mins later and Waves are now coming over the pavement and the road is completely underwater, prob about 2 - 3 inches, It's risen about a foot in the last 20 mins or so, this things rising fast!

EDIT 2 : Getting a bit too dark to see now, but using the palm plant closest to the cam the surge is at about 2 foot and still rising

What was Zeta will add into our UK weekend weather, looking windy and very wet with flooding concerns already today before this onslaught of persistent rain.

Not seen those Env Agency charts before Jo, not looking good; also interesting on the Sunday chart, the extension of the flood risk as a 'finger' SE of the main area. I wonder if that is a river course?

Eye of Zeta over NEw Orleans - from this lady's twitter  --"My past six weeks: evacuating New Orleans at 37 weeks pregnant due to Hurricane Sally, giving birth at 40 weeks as another hurricane threatened the city, and now riding out a category 2 with a 3 week old."

The remnants of Zeta will affect our UK weather, the low early on Sunday. There will be a barage of low pressures over the next few days after today's respite, so from the ground it maybe difficult to realise which bit of wind and rain it is, espeacilly for western Britain. Some uncertainty in the frontal positioning on Sunday with warm tropical air in the mix.
