Just back from a nice winter walk at the Whitelee Wind Farm which is only a 10 min drive from my house

Looks great. Was thinking of heading up there to see if there was any snow, so will take a run out in a while.

Couple of light showers here but generally clear and dry.

Was thinking of heading over later or some point over next few days.

How is it for parking, would imagine there would be parking at centre but unsure with current restrictions if carpark is closed. Cheers

3c here, sadly no lying snow down here with the solway affect.

Sleet forecast overnight, the plan will be to head up the A76 to the Dalveen pass and see how snowy it is up there. Can see the white hills of the Southern uplands. It may be too snowy for my car

M74 at Abington and Beattock summit was down to one lane this morning, Winter has arrived!!

Always find it funny reading the storm threads when it's affecting somewhere in sounthern/central England. "Omg 60, maybe 70mph winds I could feel the house shaking..." when we get one of those through the central belt almost every year and have had a couple of 90mph storms in the last 25 years.

Some folk wouldn't last 5 minutes in NE Scotland, thats just a summer breeze

Temperature dropped to 0.8c, DP -1.8c and pressure steady at 966.81

Much better day.

A bit cloudy at times but also some good sunny spells in compensation.

No snow overnight and max of 3c; frost hanging on in the shade. Calm conditions.

Met office keeps changing almost hourly, latest edition indicates a period of snow around midnight - we'll see....

Still can't get over this! 955 low just off the western coast of Scotland. 961 at my house (red star) and not a hint of any poor weather.

All rain in near sea level Cathcart so far, but saw some wet snow in Clarkston earlier.

Showers coming in now are rain! Hoping the heavier band approaching from the west is back to being snow but I’m not holding my breath.

Having seen the photos at Whitelee from@Stormeh, I headed up this afternoon. Very busy and the conditions would have been much better this morning, but nice to get a bit of snow.
