Nothing wintry here so far looks like I have avoided majority of the showers but my main hope is in the front tonight - push all the way across to the east coast please pal then over the next few days chances for some bits to try move in from the North Sea maybe thundery but will keep an eye on it. Would be interesting to see if any of you in the west have pressure readings I’m currently on 960.41 hpa low of 960.11 hpa, temps 2.3C / DP 1.3C

Nice to see those of you that have had snow so far ☃️

Went for a quick walk this morning and my car was well iced up so it had probably been rained on late last night. Snow 100m up the hill a bit has survived better, especially in the shade, and probably had a dusting on top by the looks of the trees. Temp here has crept above zero in the last hour.

I see the MetO have extended the yellow snow & ice warning across most of Scotland, including me now. Yet thier forecast for here has no precipitation of any type throughout the warning period. Go figure.

A touch of white first thing but all the showers tracking just south of me. Currently just catching the edge of one and it’s falling as snow. Hopefully bodes well for anything heavier later.

Well that was a very brief wintry type of day! Snaw all but gone, replaced by sleet and rain. Very short lived and not looking like we'll get any more up here. Och well, it was nice while it lasted! ❄️

Currently 956.0 hpa falling more slowly. Think we’re in the middle of the low in the western isles

Depends which weather station I want to believe! One says 954hpa, another says 966hpa. Take your pick!

Baltic out there! Currently 2C with a feels like temperature in that raw wind of -3C.

Rain, sleet, snow and hail today overhead.
Pulse type showers rolling though and then off into the distance.

Perfect Winter day!

Well, not a flake here as expected, but fingers crossed for this evening!

Good luck to everyone and I hope you get a little of the white stuff to brighten things up

Always find it funny reading the storm threads when it's affecting somewhere in sounthern/central England. "Omg 60, maybe 70mph winds I could feel the house shaking..." when we get one of those through the central belt almost every year and have had a couple of 90mph storms in the last 25 years.
