Lots of light precipitation  on radar but it doesn’t seem to be coming down to the surface?

It did here, but really only once you were under at least a green area, and even then it was still very light. Did give us a slight dusting in the end.

I picked up on this the other day actually. Radar was showing light precipitation but nothing was falling from the sky

There is a light snaw snow shower passing by here with very fine flakes...but snaw none the less..!!!

During the night the temperature dropped to a chilly -4.1deg/C...the temperature is sitting at 0.8deg/C anything that accumulates isn't going to melt.

The radar is showing more on the way...

Not long returned from a short walk. Would have stayed out longer but on came a freezing shower of..... sleet! Absolutely baltic! Wind chill knocked a good few degrees off the temperature, so I just headed home. I know I wont see any snow over the next few days, but as long as it stays dry and frosty I'll be quite happy!

Snawing again in Leith. May not amount to much but last nights frost means it might give a fresh sheen to the existing back green cover.

Light snow in Musselburgh, not far from the coast; showing as rain on the radar.

Decent snow falling here ....... dog walk time

luckily one of my dogs seem to like the snow as he is going to find himself walked everytime flakes fall, if we ever get a 2010 winter again he's gonna need some extra calories.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
